About

Pick the right path on your journey.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Life is a journey, not a destination.”

Our lives are a journey, with each day bringing new twists and turns in the path, often exciting but just as frequently scary. Deciding which way to go in your life can be overwhelming.

Therapy is a safe, respectful place to figure out the best path for you to take on this journey. The goal is to help you learn more about yourself and understand the reasons for the directions you have chosen.

Sometimes therapy can feel challenging, sometimes painful, and sometimes joyful with new realizations.

Together, we will develop your skills for navigating this path as you move forward. We will work together to help you make more healthy choices and create healthier habits, thought patterns, and emotional responses. You will gain the knowledge that there is not an exact “right” path, only the right path for you.

Our work focuses on you living life to the fullest.

Our first step forward begins with a free 20-minute consultation to share what led you to start this journey and help us decide if working together will be the best fit for you. If so, we will schedule our first session.

As we get to know each other and develop a trusting relationship, we will explore why you first chose to come to therapy and begin to develop a plan and goals for our journey together toward you having a happier life.

My goal is to meet you where you are at this moment. Our journey together is about meeting your individualized needs – I utilize proven approaches, such as Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, specifically adjusted to be the best fit for you.

Together, we will identify the place you want to be and work to find the skills necessary to get you there. The overall goal is to go from simply existing day to day to living every moment to its fullest.

ABOUT ME

I have guided people on their life journeys for over 30 years, focusing on anxiety, depression, and trauma experiences.

My undergraduate degree in psychology is from The Pennsylvania State University (WE ARE!), and my graduate degree in psychotherapy is from Hahnemann University (now Drexel).

My license is through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy through PCIT International. I have training in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Exposure Therapy. I have specialized training for working with young children, including behavioral issues and ADHD.

Pennsylvania has been my home my entire life. I grew up surrounded by nature and animals, and both are still passions for me when I’m not working. I spend as much time outside as possible in my free time hiking, biking, trail running, and gardening.

I have been a pet parent and am currently seeking a new four-legged friend. My love of animals and nature led me to complete coursework in Animal-Assisted Therapy.

A healthy existence is vital for all of us, and I believe that health includes physical, mental, and emotional well-being. I work to take a holistic view of all my clients. My goal is to help you find the best combination of resources for your journey as you move along the path that leads to the best you.
